As a student in Tim Slade‘s eLearning Designer’s Academy, I participate in monthly design challenges.  This month’s challenge was to recreate all or part of a 3-slide PowerPoint training on HR hiring best practices.  The slides were quite bland and boring, as can be seen below!

I chose to add a lot of color!  My inspiration for my color palette was based on Azera Talent’s logo and colors.  I also wanted to add in audio and sound effects, to help create a bit more depth and character to the project.  The background music, as well as the sound effects, are all from Envato Elements.  Adding interactive elements on the final slide provides an opportunity for the learner to actively engage in the content versus falling asleep in the conference room.  Come on, we’ve all been there!

I had a lot of fun with this project, especially in creating all the various animations and timing of audio.
