Farnam Street offers a quick article on the Elements of Effective Thinking.  It’s a 3-minute read with a breakdown of The Five Elements of Effective Thinking book.  These five habits are practical ways for us to improve our thinking: understand deeply, make mistakes, raise questions, follow the flow of ideas, and change.

If you’re a teacher transitioning to instructional design, this event is for you!  The Training, Learning, and Development Community (TLDC) is hosting The Road to L&D: from Teaching to Instructional Design on January 21, 2022, on Airmeet.  It features some awesome folks in the ID/LXD/L&D community, such as Heidi Kirby, Tim Slade, Sarah Cannistra, Raven Wilson, Laura Hoyer, and Luke Hobson.

ATD breaks down 4 Barriers to an Inclusive Training Environment: communication, lack of motivation, wrong materials, and unconscious bias.  The article examines these barriers for young and adult learners and provides strategies to overcome them.

Insider has rounded up 10 Free Online Courses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to help you become a better leader.  Courses range from a few hours to a few months to complete.

Palitra App claims they have the Easiest Way to Find a Color Palette!  I’ve already used this tool a few times and am impressed!  You enter keywords Google-style and you get color palettes delivered!

Adobe has a never-ending page of Best of eLearning Examples that you can preview, download, and reuse!  They even offer up some VR and Javascript projects.

Salesforce never ceases to impress me.  They recently blogged about the 5 Reasons Why You Should Be a Mentor.  Bonus: they’ve linked Trailhead modules you can take.  Also, follow me on Trailblazer!
